If you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with chronic bronchitis, you may be able to join a clinical study testing a study drug for this condition. The SCALA Study is testing how well a study drug works to relieve COPD symptoms and what side effects participants may experience.

SCALA is a Latin word that means ladder or staircase and is also a symbol for climbing and ascent. It was chosen as the name for the SCALA Study to signify that people with COPD can struggle with physical activities in their daily lives.
